Written on Wednesday 29 July 2009 at 06:43 by Andy - 2 comments.

Living the Sim Life

In the fifth part of The Sims 3 Indepth, we follow Jonah and Bronwen around Sunset Valley on their first day as they look for work, meet some of the people and start to live the sim life in their new home.

We will be looking in detail at wishes, moodlets and lifetime happiness, looking at the different rewards that are available once the points have been accrued. We will also be looking at the easiest way to get around the area and preparing the way for their first working day and one step closer to their life goals.

Written on Thursday 16 July 2009 at 04:25 by Andy - 2 comments.

Moving Into The Valley

In the fourth part of The Sims 3 Indepth, we are seeing what options there are when we build our couple a new home. We look at the price of real estate in Sunset Valley, ranging from shorefront properties to those well inland.

We will be looking at the budget a couple has available, building their house from the ground up and furnishing it with the basics, also making sure that somewhere along the way, their house looks coordinated with help from our own basic guide on using the Create-A-Style-Tool.

A Sim To Call Your Own

In the third part of The Sims 3 Indepth, we are finally getting to look at what options there are when creating a new sim to go into Sunset Valley, going from the basics such as body shape down to their freckles.

As well as how they look, we will be looking at what they wear, how they are made up, but most importantly, we will be looking at how we define who they are with their personality and what they want from their sim life.

Written on Tuesday 26 May 2009 at 19:35 by Rosana - 0 comments.

EA released a few nice objects this week. They are all items for your Sims 2 game. I can't find the English page, but it is available in Dutch and German. I'm pretty sure the objects themselves can be used in any language, there just aren't any pages yet in English. Click on the image below to view the items:

You can download the objects from the Dutch page on the Sims 3 site. Or on the German Sims 2 site, here and here.

39. The Sims 3 Fan Site Previews [Update]
Written on Saturday 23 May 2009 at 15:48 by ChEeTaH - 0 comments.
In the past few weeks there have been several fan events in London and Manchester (UK), Utrecht (Netherlands) and São Paulo, Salvador and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Quite a number of fan sites wrote one or even multiple previews, interviews and other articles about the Sims 3. We've collected a list of all articles we could find in random order. If you know of other recent articles by fan sites, feel free to tell us about them! Note that all the English translations are automatic translations from Google Translate. When an article doesn't have a specific link to an English translation, it will be in English or there's no text to translate (i.e. just pictures). Anyway, read on for the complete list!

[Update] We've added previews from SimOperations, SimsShine and Sims Universe since we first posted this.

40. The Sims 3 - Hands On Preview
Written on Friday 22 May 2009 at 08:28 by ChEeTaH - 0 comments.

We already announced that The Sims Zone would attend a Sims 3 hands-on event. We even briefly made a live post during the event. Now, after Andy's preview earlier this month, we have another large preview ready for you. This time from the event in Utrecht, combined with information from an earlier presentation by Ben Bell last year, also in Utrecht. Even just two weeks before the release there's a lot to discover, and we tell you a lot about it - it's impossible to cover everything. So, without further ado, head over to our three-page hands-on preview of the Sims 3!
