Although you may have the pack already, The Sims Division has put several new screenshots on the official site. You can see the new shots below. 274. New Extra: Sims 2 CDs to DVDs
Written on Monday 20 November 2006 at 01:07 by Neil - 1 comment.
I haven't written anything here for a while (a thing called "real life" and another thing called "work" both conspire to get in the way), but there is a new Extra written by none other than myself.

It turns out its possible to install Sims 2 from one DVD as opposed to twelve CDs. My guide shows you how, it doesn't involve any cracked files, but it still asks for the original CDs when you fire the game up, which is how it should be. My installation of Sims 2 runs perfectly and it was set up using all the files, alterations and extractions posted in the guide. As a bonus, my CD tray isn't tired any more of coming in and out :)

This is not a public service announcement about the dangers of setting fire to your beard. In the seventh part of our "Pets" review, you will understand what is happening to this sim as we finally get to look at this expansion's weirdness.

Werewolves!

It's right here.

277. The Sims Life Stories Product Info
Written on Friday 17 November 2006 at 16:40 by ChEeTaH - 0 comments.
The Sims Life Stories was recently rumoured in several ways by EA. More confirmation and actual product information now comes from Switzerland, which the online shop ABC Software had published. Our affiliate SimsZone reported the news, and although the product page is now removed, the German text has been posted on their forums.

Life Stories will be a new laptop-friendly version of the Sims 2. The focus lies on quick gameplay, based on stories you can tell, much like earlier console versions. You play Laura, who is moving back home, to start a new life with new friends, experiences and unexpected surprises. A bonus story lets you play the life of Lukas, a geek with an unlucky romantic life. The classic Sims gameplay is also available, so you create a house, sims, and tell their stories.

The laptop aspect is introduced with special easy shortcuts, as well as an auto-pause feature that pauses the game as you close the lid of your laptop. You can also stay in touch with your friends over IM, Chat and Email, as the game runs in its own window. The Sims Life stories is the beginning of a series, with a pets expansion pack coming first. In the future an island expansion pack will be released as well, where you'll control the story of a shipwrecked Sim on a tropical island. These ideas match the domains EA registered earlier. The release date is rumoured to be late January 2007. We'll let you know when more information is available.

280. Holiday Mini-Pack at EA Link (Downloader)
Written on Sunday 12 November 2006 at 20:19 by ChEeTaH - 0 comments.
A while ago the Sims 2 Happy Holiday Stuff was announced, together with the 2006 Holiday Edition of the Sims 2, and a Holiday Mini-pack containing just the 20 new items. The latter is available through (purchase) download only. At EA Link (formerly EA Downloader) you can now pre-order the game for $6.99. More details about the Sims games on EA Link can be found through a post by MaxoidDrea in the BBS. Games previously available on EA Downloader (all stuff packs and the Pets expansion pack) are now in EA Link, and if you purchased them at Downloader before you'll still be able to (re)download them now.
