On the
official website for The Sims 3
, a trailer video has been released and there are also some new screenshots in the different sections.
Also, recently, a fan event was held at EA in California and Josh from Worldsims, which is one of our affiliate sites, was able to attend. While he was there, he held a live blogging session, which me, ChEeTaH and Rosana were part of. I took the transcript and tidied it up so

It recently came to our attention that due to some misconfiguration of our server, emails sent by the website would sometimes be rejected by various (mail) providers. This issue should now be solved, and e-mails should arrive normally again.
If you tried to register for membership, requested a password or otherwise expected an automated e-mail from this website and you didn't receive it, please try again. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this issue.

Similar to one a poll that we ran a couple of years ago, we have set a new poll up to find out which expansion packs you either have or are thinking of buying. If an expansion pack is included as part of a special edition of The Sims 2 - "De Luxe" includes "Nightlife" - then please make sure you include it in your listing.
With the information from these results, it will gear us better towards understanding our fanbase and create new objects and lots closer to what you have.
Thankyou for taking part.

On the
official site
, there is new and exciting information about the forthcoming expansion for The Sims 2. Firstly, it shows us the new packshot and there are four screenshots to look at, showing some of the features.
Part of the description of what this EP is going to be about is as follows.
- Move into the perfect apartment: a spacious loft, a cozy place for a young couple, or a multi-bedroom flat-share with friends.
- Mingle with Sims from all-new social groups: stylish socialites, artsy bohemians, sports jocks, gadget-collecting techies, or edgy gearheads.
- Take advantage of apartment life: form social networks to make new friends, advance their careers, or look for love.
- Build your Sim's new reputation meter: with a good reputation, your Sim can find the right friends to help them achieve their goals!
- Control multiple households: will you make your Sims live in happy harmony or comical conflict?
With an indication of different types of possible apartment, a list of NPC types to add to the mix, different social interactions, having "a rep to protect" and what sounds like running more than one household in the same building, can this really be what is possible?

After almost three months of waiting, there is finally a patch for FreeTime available from the official site, which can be downloaded from
here.
Although there is a list as to the features that it supposedly fixes, I will get back to you later with my comments about whether it really does improve the game.
