The dartboard released yesterday has been causing some problems with The Sims Hot Date. The problem: music doesn't play anymore when it's installed...
Update: it's fixed.
To get back the music, remove the dartboardsnd.hit file in the dartboard subdirectory in C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims\Downloads. The sounds made when using the dartboard (also those made by Sims) will be gone, but the music should be back (thanks to Bonnie at the alt.games.the-sims newsgroup).Update: it's fixed.
If you installed the dartboard and want to remove it completely, first make sure it's not in any downtown area anymore (remove/sell it everywhere it is). After that, you should go to My Computer --> C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims\Downloads, and then delete the "Dartboard" subdirectory. This should uninstall the dartboard and fix the problems it caused.
If you accidentally left the dartboard somewhere and you get the message that some files are missing, and if the screen goes black then: reinstall the dartboard, then uninstall it as told above.
I recommend waiting for a fixed version before downloading the dartboard.
