Vacation: First Impressions
Thanks to SimsZone (German site), we can already see some first impressions from happy owners of Vacation. According to them the first impressions are "overall positive". Unfortunately, this expansion pack isn't clean of technical issues though, both during installation and gameplay. To find some screenshots, go here, here, or here. If you already own Vacation, and want to have your say about it, post a comment here.

The official site only gets updated at thursdays (SimDays). Only in very special occasions, like the release of a new patch or announcements of upgrades that mean (part of) the site will be down are being placed in the news there on other days. No doubt they'll put something on tomorrow.

The new add-on is available in the shops anyhow, and the people will see it. A patch is only available on the site though, and that's why they update for that on a regular day. On the other days, they usually are busy replying to emails from The Sims players. The website team isn't that big, only a few (2-3 or so?) people, not many more. They have to handle all emails, update the website, etc.

Also, "Most of the times not working patch" - Only one patch didn't work so far and that was the Hot Date patch. The others are small programs, which are released on SimDays. The HD Patch V 2.0 was released on a monday. Version 1 was released on a SimDay too. I don't think it's important for the website to announce that an expansion pack has been released 1 or 2 days after the release.

Oh, and please no Dutch in your comments next time, this is an English site. I've removed your Dutch bit, which is all I edited, to prevent confused looks of other visitors.

lol! Joost! Cheetah ruined your Dutch cursing fun! And I have to agree with Cheetah too. If you had to choose to say "We have a new expansion pack" or "click here to get a patch to fix your game" which would you choose?

There wasn't any cursing in Dutch, just something like "sorry ChEeTaH that I can't leave you alone in English too". Anyway, I must say I like the way comments are being used to this posts... now if the rest of the approx. 250-300 members would also post some comments (also to other posts), it'd be even better :-)
