SimDay Report: New screenshots and design

This SimDay: There are 6 new Vacation screenshots, there will be a new design for the official site, and The Sims has been sold over 6.3 million times worldwide. That makes it the best-selling PC-game ever. Who would've thought that?

6 new screenshots of Vacation have been added on the official site. The above is one of them. On the others you can see some fishing going on, an archery game being played by several sims, the volleyball game in 2 different settings, and something that looks like a drinks stall. Next week there will be a new design for the official site. After more than 2 years the design is going to be changed:

"Electronic Arts today announced that they have shipped over 6.3 million copies worldwide of the computer game, The Sims, making it the best selling PC game of all time."

Last but definately not least: The Sims has broken a record! 6.3 million copies of the game have been sold now, after more than 2 years since its release in 13 languages. Nice to know is that, unlike most other games, over 50% of the new Sims players are female. Over 1 million people visit the official site each month. Of course, also the hundreds of fansites, like this one, are very popular. Click here to read the full press release. I'm not sure, but I think the thing that looks like a drink stall is the wack-a-will game.

Could be... I couldn't really see what it was, and I never thought of the whack-a-will game. The little image on the right of the stall indeed makes it look like it's the whack-a-will game. I guess we'll know for sure when the game's out...
