The Neighborhood Handler and Vacation
With Vacation coming soon, I'm now working on a new version of The Neighborhood Handler (TNHH): version 3.7. Besides Vacation compatibility, it'll have a few new options too. I cannot tell when exactly it'll be ready, but it won't be before the new expansion pack comes out, unfortunately. I hope I can finish and release the program mid-april, but I'm not sure about that. As always, the TNHH Yahoo! Group members will get it approximately a week earlier than the rest.

I expect to have these updates in version 3.7:
  • Vacation compatibility
  • Preview houses and downtown or vacation areas
  • Install houses or families to The Sims or a back-up. It'll also read them from zip-files.
  • More specific selection of command-line parameters when running The Sims (from The Neighborhood Handler)
  • Repairing a neighborhood makes files non-read-only (so writable again).
  • Several small bugfixes
  • Improved legal terms to prevent selling of the program. Only redistributing it for free is allowed.

  • More information about The Neighborhood Handler can be found at the site. From there you can also join the TNHH Group so you can be the first to get the new version!
