Tim LeTourneau, senior producer of Nightlife, has sent out another of his famous T-mails. It's the last one for the second expansion pack, in which he mentions the key features of the pack again. Tim also mentions that a patch for both University and Nightlife will be released soon. There are already posts on several forums of bugs in the latest expansion, for example the Karaoke Machine which doesn't play any sounds. There will be one patch which will fix both expansions, regardless which one(s) you have installed. There are no new screenshots this time, just read on for the entire mail.
"Hey Folks,
"Tomorrow The Sims 2 Nightlife officially starts to hit the shelves in North America. I know it's already out in some countries so some of you could be playing it right now. I hope you are having fun. I know we had a lot of fun making it.
"With every expansion we try to add something for everyone. For the builders, I think half-walls, sectional sofas, and colored lights alone will keep you guys busy for a long time. For the story-tellers and moving makers, I can already see and hear the sagas of dating success and failure, or the tales of a guys or girls night out on the town. And for those of you that just like to explore and experiment, I'm sure figuring out what makes a Pleasure Sim tick, or keeping up with vampires and their antics will keep you entertained for awhile. Of course that's just a small bit of what The Sims 2 Nightlife adds to the game; a car is a starting purchase for every one of my families now, kids singing Karaoke and dancing The Smustle make me smile every time I see them, and diagonal pools are my new favorite decorating item. Of course there is plenty more, and each of you will find your favorite thing.
"As always, I know I will be blown away with what you do with the game. You continually surprise and amaze the team with your creativity and inventiveness.
"Until next time,"
Tim
"PS. I also want everyone to know that we will soon be releasing a standalone patch for The Sims 2 University. The same patch will also be available The Sims 2 Nightlife owners as well, so regardless of which expansion(s) you have there will be a version of the patch for you."
