About halfway through developing University, Maxis found the community experience needed more, and that's more or less how Nightlife was born. Tim also says that although there isn't a list of expansions at the moment, there are a lot of ideas in the Maxoid's heads, and that the ideas from the community are also used during the development of the expansions.
