SimsZone at Games Convention
Our colleagues of SimsZone DE have visited the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany, for several years in a row. This year was no exception. Now the event is over, they've posted Nightlife and Sims 2 Consoles previews. Read on for details and links, or head on straight to the GC Special at SimsZone.

As for Nightlife, there is a little bit of new info about the pack. There will be three high-rise ploppable objects for your neighborhood. They serve purely as decoration, and can make your downtown area look more impressive. Of course you can also go out for dinner in a restaurant, like in Hot Date. However, it will now also be possible to leave without paying the bill. You have to leave within 45 seconds, without the personell noticing you.

As for cars, one of the main new objects in Nightlife, there is one major downside: the driveways. They are necessary to place a car on, but take up a lot of space. You need some space on the road for the car to make its turn on, with the result that it's very hard to place a driveway at the right of your house. You need about 10 tiles on the right of the driveway on the main road the lot is on (the side the mailbox is on).

When you start a date, a mini-game starts. The wants of the sim you're on a date with show next to the bar. At home you might have vampires. The report says that a vampire in the sun will not survive much longer than a minute. Besides that there are many objects, and wall and floor textures. For the latter, there are also a few more (recoloured) large textures, which cover multiple tiles. As for clothes there are several new items, but nothing stunning, says SimsZone. For their (German) preview, along with some pictures taken with a digital camera (and thus not of high quality), see their Nightlife preview. Also check out the Console preview for some shots. There's no new info in their preview, but you can check out our Sims 2 Console Special for the details about the game.
