Tim LeTourneau, senior producer of the Sims 2 Nightlife, has sent the community another update. In this fifth e-mail he tells Nightlife is nearing completion. The game's already a lot of fun to play, which is shown by laughter coming from different cubes at the studio. Tim also tells a story about how a Sim can get sick from making the wrong choices during a date... Besides that he tells it's possible to create your own cemetaries downtown, by bringing gravestones of dead Sims to the community lots. The four screenshots below were included, but you can also skip on to the exact words of Tim.
"Hey There,"There has been so much going on around here as we push to complete The Sims 2 Nightlife, I thought I should share a bit of it with you.
"First of the all the game is just fun to play. The whole team has been playing and tuning and most importantly having a great time. You always know when the game is getting close to being done by the bouts of laughter you hear coming from different cubes and the excitement everyone has in sharing the stories of their Sims experiences. For example: I made the mistake of flirting with someone else the other day while I was on a date. This infuriated my date and it ended badly. Then later that night she came by my house and kicked over my garbage can. This spawned roaches which made my Sim sick. So my Sim got sick from having a bad date. I know the stories you guys are going to tell are going to be great.
"Downtown is really coming together too. There are a lot interesting places to visit. We’ve even added a cemetery (not sure I mentioned that you can now take your tombstones to community lots and build your own cemeteries) – not a bad place to take a vampire for a night on the town either. There are plenty of fun locales too. I really like the community fun objects like the bowling alley, the karaoke machine, and the poker table. They have allowed us to build some cool casual hangouts that are great for group outings. Here are a couple shots for you.
"I'll give you more info as the ship date approaches, only a few weeks left.
"Talk to you soon,"
Tim
