The Sims has already received many prizes and awards, and so has its sequel the Sims 2. And after the SXSW nomination, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA, famous for their British Film awards) has nominated the Sims 2 as best PC game. Other nominations in that category include Doom 3, FarCry, Half-Life 2, Myst IV Revelation and Rome: Total War. The second BAFTA Game Awards will be held at the Café Royal in London at 1 March.
