the roofs are really hard to build and i think the basements are hard

im a beginner on the sims 2 and i love the sims lol
how do i build i know how to buy bcause that is pretty simple but i do not know how 2 make the floors and the walls, flowers ect.....
plz tell me what to do !!!!!!
