Sims 2: Mysterious New Guide
The game isn't out yet, and even the strategy guide still isn't shipping, but, a new item from
Prima Games has appeared in several online shops, including
Amazon US and
Amazon UK. It's called "
The Sims 2: Episode 2 Strategy Guide" and will be released in February of the next year. It's still unsure whether this is for the Sims 2's first expansion pack (which will be released early 2005 as well, according to Neil Young in a
previous chat), or whether this is a second release of the initial strategy guide, which will be released along with the Sims 2. All that's known about the guide so far is the title, and that it'll be 240 pages (at least that's what Amazon's product description says). A picture whatsoever also has not been published. Of course we'll keep you updated, but if you know you'll want to get it, you can already pre-order the book from
our shop.

I've pre-ordered it. Amazon UK is telling me Dispatch estimate: Feb 3, 2005 which is a Thursday... Don't books come out on Friday or do Amazon know something we don't? :)
Heck, I've had Sims 2 on pre-order since March - why not have the strategy guide for something that's not even been confirmed on pre-order too? :)

I think it's safe to say everybody who works for TSZ is a little crazy :-D
Anyway, since it's still so far ahead, I suppose the date is still subject to change. Or it really is for an expansion pack, called "Episode 2" which will be released Feb 3 2005, at the same time as the guide.
Only time will tell...

Why am I crazy?
The sooner I get my books and EPs, the more likely I'll be able to answer all your "how do i do this/that/the other" questions in the Knowledge Base.
After all, somebody has to know what they're talking about... Might as well be me :)
