Expansion #7: Spellbound

SimsZone and
The Sim's Stash have already reported about being able to pre-order another expansion pack for The Sims. Rumours about it started in
April, and now we also know the name, an estimated release date (15 October, probably the US date), but nothing else. If you want to pre-order it, visit
this page at Amazon (the price is the same as any other expansion pack so far). When you get there you might notice that EA Sports is listed as developer, rather than EA Games. It's probably nothing more than a little mistake, unless this expansion will focus on sports... But I personally doubt that. If you have any idea what this expansion pack could be about, then please post a comment (members only). Whenever there are more details, we'll tell you about it.

I don't expect an official announcement very soon. It could be another few months, perhaps July or August. We might get some small details before that, but no screenshots whatsoever...

will this work out like this? is this the end of all the expansion packs of The Sims? or is there something more? The Sims 2 sounds quite exciting and i would look forward to that but what will be next? i m still not sure about The Sims Spellbound because when i searched any news for it, i found out only one and that is todays. what is this surprising expansion?

If they are making a new Expansion Pack called the Sims Spellbound then it might have something to do with witchcraft and wizardry or something like that. I mean look at the name. SPELLbound.

It might be magic, others are thinking it could be about school (more fun with the kids in The Sims). Amazon has removed the page now, but that doesn't mean the expansion pack doesn't exist - it's probably more like Maxis doesn't want too many people to know about it yet.

No offence or anything, but if it was to be about Spells and Wizardry, then that would be stretching the Sim's too far.
I would be ok as another stand alone, maybe with other add-on packs (that would mean that it would no longer be a stand alone!), but not with the Sims. If it was a different game, but based on the Sims, then that would be fine. Just not as an Add-on Pack for the Sims.
I don't really think that it will be about wizardry and magic (I'm not even sure that I believe that it will be an expansion pack, in fact!).

I'm wondering if is like another livin large, which they only give the game a bunch of new items and a couple of new interactions and jobs.
I would think they would want to squeeze what is left of "The Sims" franchise before they release "The Sims 2"
Nevertheless, I'm going to buy it so I finally have all "The Sims" expansions,ever.
