in the sims 2 when a child evolves from a child into an adult do they just shoot up or something else?

First off a child does not go from a child to an adult. It goes from and infant (baby), toddler, child, teen, adult, and finally a senior citizen. But i am pretty sure they do like a life moment when they zoom up on the action. I am pretty sure they just shoot up though.
