Will the sims in Sims 2 be able to swim in the lake/pond water?

I remember that Luc said that swimming pools and hote tubs and things like that will have to do. That, thats what they are for and that the sims will not be able to sim in other places such as the ones you mentioned.

i think ive seen screens of sims swimming and getting out of pool but i have tn seen any with lakes
