I want to buy a new computer but don't want to lose all of the downloads on my old computer. How can I keep them all? I saved them to an external hard drive, but when I get my new computer, where do I copy the downloads of sims and lots to on the new PC?

I must have hundreds of sims and lots on my old computer. They usually go into the "sims download" directory when i download them from the Sims 2 website. BUT where are the "saved games?" I realize I will have to place them in a house again, that is no problem. I just don't want to have to create them all over again and max out their skills........have child sims etc etc. I don't want to lose the lots I've downloaded because of the cool tiles, bed spreads, wallpapers, objects...etc etc. Does anyone here know enough about computers to tell me what to do? I know there has to be a way. I thought saving them all to an external hard drive would help keep them. BUT putting them back into the game is what I am worried about. When I install all of my sims cds on the new computer, I want to then copy the saved sims and lots from the external HD to a directory in the new PC. Please tell me how to do this. I know this is confusing, that is why I attempted to restate my question.
