I uninstalled all of my Sims games, adn then installed only up to House Party. everything worked fine until I bought a new lot and my person/stuff wasnt there. When I go to save, it also says there was a problem saving. Whats up with all that?!

yess!!! in having exactly the same problem now. what did you do about it or have you not done anything?
