I have uninstalled the sims by mistake but have lost the main sims game. All I have now is the livin it up e pack. How can I get it to work without the main Sims CD?

Sorry, but, it's impossible to do it with out the base.

You should contact EA Custom Support and try to get a replacement for the original game. This will cost some money (around $5 I think), and you'll need at least some kind of proof that you have bought the original game. Ask EA for exact details. Their contact details are in the installation guide.
