If you design a neighborhood in the game Simcity 4, can you transfer it to the Sims 2 game so you can use it there? Also, for those of you who have Simcity 4, are their any sim people in this game or is it only buildings and houses???

This answer will be long so be patiant. Yes, The Sims 2 will import the terrain file's elevation and water, standard roads (not highways or zoning-placed roads) as long as they're straight, and intersections as long as they're at right angles. In Sim City 4, open a region and then a small city tile (larger won't work) and arrange the terrain features (in God mode). Next, click on Mayor mode and establish the city so you can lay out some roads (don't be stingy, but make them straight). Save the city and quit the game. Locate the region folder and the city file (.sc4) in 'My Documents\SimCity 4\Regions' and copy it into 'My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\SC4Terrains'. Once installed, you can use the terrain file to create a new neighborood. From the neighborhood browser, click on the Create Custom Neighborhood and select the terrain file (or any other) from the list. Name it, choose the type of terrain (lush or desert), and add a description if you want. If you want you can change the neighborhood thumbnail. Change the thumbnail that appears in the Neighborhood Chooser from the default generic image by copying a new image file (400 x 300, .png format) into the new neighborhood's folder. Name the new image "N###_Neighborhood.png" in which the ### is the number assigned to the neighborhood folder. And Yes, there are sims in Sim City 4 you can control, but not like The Sims or The Sims 2. You can only tell them to drive or walk to another location. Although in the game, it tells you news about a sim, like if they had died or had a baby or other things. There are also sims that help you control your town and tell you if there is a problem, like Financial Advisor or other important people. I got all of the SimCity 4 neighborhood information out of a book called Prima Official Game Guide The Sims 2, I got it from Best Buy and it gives you a lot of imformation and helpful hints about The Sims 2. And I know, this answer is long!

I didn't see this in your answer, but if you have Sims 1, you can import your Sims into Sim City 4. Too bad you can't play them like Sims 1. :)
