I want to creat a Sim that wants a large family with several parents. Romance Sims seem to never have kids unless they get married and die at a young age. Family Sims are good, but get overly depressed in they don't marry and Sims break up with them.

Do family sims. Don't worry about them getting depressed - type in the cheat bar
boolprop testingcheatsenabled true

and click on your sim while holding SHIFT. Click "Spawn" then "Sim Modder". A little baby appears. Click on it (without holding shift) and do "Aspiration.../level aspiration" and you can put it to gold/green/platinum or whatever.
