In story mode my sim wants to "Beat Torin at Foosball." I have a foosball table but how can I challenge him to a game of foosball?

start playing the foosball and when he gets close to your sims he might start to play with you

I tried asking him to join while I was at the foosball table. It didn't come up as a social, only normal ones did. Also, "Play Foosball" isn't an available social interaction when I'm not at the foosball table.
