ok well i called some people over but they stand at teh edge of the propety line and wont come to my house do u know what the problem is by the way i did delet the trash can and mail box could that be the problem is there any way of getting them back?????

Yes because if you delete the mailbox nobody will ever be able to visit you. And no you cant get a new one...at least i dont think so.

Yes, you can download a new one. But usually, it won't work if the family stays in the same house. So you have to move your family out, place a new trash can and mailbox (or better yet, demolish the lot and place a new one if that was an option in sims 1 already?) and then move your family into a different house. And next time, delete the bills instead of the mailbox.
As for the trash can and mailbox, do a google search, there used to be tons of websites offering those.
