How do you move a game standard Sim family from their home neighborhood to one you create? Is it the same to move a Sim you previously created in one neighborhood and want to move?

The game keeps a list of everyone (including the maids and other NPC's) in the neigborhood. Try right-clicking their house from the neighborhood view to package the whole place. Close the game. The package might be saved under an Export folder. Move it to your Import folder. Let me know if the game prompts you to import the lot & family into the next neighborhood you open.
