If you have children taken away by social services, it says you cant adopt but does this ever go away? Like is there a certain length of time to wait until you can adopt?

No, once a child(ren) is/are taken away, that sim or sims get the memory of having a child taken away. As long as they have that memory they can never adopy. Although, if another sim in the household does not have that memory and are adults or elders they may adopt. Have fun!

I heard that once a child is taken away, you can't adopt nor have another baby! My sim was like that! She didnt even want to touch her niece!

No!You cant adopt again, but you still can get pregnant.:)
