I don't want to but just in case i end up finding it difficult to care for my family with the pet, well, then the pet's gotta go. but at this point, i don't have that problem but i'm asking just in case i did

Okay. Here's what you can do. Neglect your pet: never play with it, fill food bowls, etc. Sell off scratching posts, you can even sell the food bowl or pet beds if you want to be really mean to your pet. Eventually it will run away and become a Stray.

iz that the only way? 'cuz that seems really cruel. I mean, puttin the pet up for adoption would not be something i'd look forward to doin' but neglecting it would be...wrong. ur sure there is no other way to put you pet up for adoption?

Just do this.
1. Create a large room and put fireplaces all round the walls.
2. Get ur sim to light the fires.
3. While ur sim is in the room, call over the pet.
4. Get sim out.
5. Delete door.
6. put halogen heaven lights everywhere so the dog is trapped.
7. Lamps burn.
8. Dog burns.
9 Dog dies.

It's quick and easy plus u never need see your pet again. Apart from the fact that it leaves this little statue of a dog sitting on some steps, which is its gravestone.

LOL or you could just ignore it (dont feed it and delete the bed) and then the animal ppl will come round n take it away. or u can sell ur dogs at birth if u have breeded an animal
