I have a SiS M760GX graphics (card?). Ive met all the other requirements, and when the game runs the graphics are poor quility, pixilated and selected families appear on a red back ground. Is this my graphics card? what should i do?
That is onboard graphics you've got. These cannot cope with a heavy game like Sims 2 and lead to poor quality, pixellation and general looking like mush.
Best thing to do is weigh up the cost of a new separate graphics card, decent second hand ones of which are going on eBay or brand new from a vendor near you.

Any decent card these days supports T&L and those games that need it will use it.
Onboard graphic systems are designed to be as cheap and nasty as possible and I've yet to see any that are designed for anything more advanced than office use or older games.
