I had to re-install the sims2 and university onto my computer,and when i did it keeps saying it won't play because i don't have direct x,so i manually downloaded it but it still says i don't have it,the game worked fine before

useually when u install ts2 onto pc it will install direct x with it, tho you may need to download the latest version of it,

try going into start menu,control panel,appearence and themes,display,thn the settings tab,thn advanced and thn the troubleshoot tab and make sure thr hardware acceleration is up at full
