My Sims DeLuxe keepings crashing on the start page. I have checked DirectX and my version is DirectX9 and I cannot see what else it might be.

mine kept doing that too... i almost cried when i had to do this, but it helped the problem. uninstall the sims and then go into your file where the sims was and delete the file named the sims. that is where all of your downloaded files are. i know its sad, but you gotta! BUT before that, you can try to download the sims file cop which you can get from thesims.com under get cool stuff. good luck!
