Means your house isn't very accessible, isn't very pretty or there's too much walking going on.

Hi, what's the highest layout rating you've gotten and why do you get that? What item should be where and what rooms where & in which order?

Well the best layout score is one that accommodates everything you want to do in the most optimum way possible.
Can Sims get to where they want quickly?
Can Sims get to everything they want?
Do Sims like how stuff is arranged as above?
Therefore the ideal solution is a house that is not too big yet not too cramped and pokey.

Which rooms should I place where, I tried the most obvious places:
1. Dining room + Kitchen next to each other.
2. Living room next to toilet
3. Bedroom at the back
4. Items near each other
And I got my highest record - a six. But can you give me an example which gives more than a six?

Matters not where the rooms go.
Forget ye not that Sims have their own minds so some will drag it down.
Play around, it doesn't really matter what layout scores you get.
