I installed the Sims Deluxe on my computer and it goes through the loading and just before it gets to the neighbourhood it closes and takes me to my desktop!

That happened with one of my games. Here are a few things you can try:
. Try several more times to open the game
. Blow the disc drive or get a disc drive cleaning CD
.Uninstall the game, then reinstall it
.Uninstall, then reinstall with 'run'
.Cleaning the CD and checking for scratches
If none of these work then if the game is new then I dunno wot else to say. I tried.
