Knowledge - Question
I'm running Windows 2000 Professional. I was about to buy The Sims: Double Deluxe but then noticed the OS requirements said only XP, 98. My online research shows that it works with 2000 but this conflicts with what the box says. Will it work with 2000?

Technically it should work with Windows 2000 because XP is a partial OS engine based on Windows 2000 systems, but it does not support Windows 2000.
I have Double Deluxe and I read the manual and it says House Party is not support on Windows 2000 systems however no mention is made for Deluxe (The Sims and Livin' Large) [Double Deluxe is Deluxe set plus House Party and Sim Creator].
All I can suggest is by Double Deluxe from the shop and just point out to them there is a conflict interest in minimum systems specs and requirement and that you could be returning the game back. Most shops have 30 days return warrenty.
So take a chance and see what happens.
