I'm half way through university and I'm bored, can anyone tell me something interesting I can do there?

You could have your sim go to community lots a lot. Your sim could throw a lot of parties like a sports party. You could try to join the secret society, you could try to see how many friends you can make while at university, you could move into your own house and start a greek house. Your sim could pull a lot of pranks, and cause a lot of mayhem. Good luck!
