iam soo confused when i down load things from a website 4 the game how do i get theme when i play like the sims or houses i downloaded

First you need Win Rar and then once you have that installed click the Win Rar file you downloaded then click to extract it
I download all my downloads off the sites to a folder called Sims 2 downloads and then have little folders for objects hacks and skins and walls and floors

I usually set up a temp folder on desk top Just for installing from and extract them to that then I take all the self install the little blue ones out and put in second folder another folderr on desktop called Self install sims 2 to install later the rest I highlight them all then click cut
then open the Downloads folder in the My documents/EAgames/Sims 2/Downloads
if you do not have a Downloads folder you can make one BUT remember to spell it JUST like I did Downloads with a upper case D
then open Downloads folder and click paste
go back double click those little blue icon self installers close all windows start game


Oh and If you like to organize you can make folders inside the downloads folder for objects Hacks and walls and floors BUT You can Not add skins or hair or any thing like that which is on the sim in a sub folder they MUST be in the download folder itself

Oh and Win Rar Is Free It says trial But it never runs out
and stays free
you can get it witrh a search at google or go to www.downloads.com
they have it therre as well
