How can I have animals for the sims1?

With only the sims and no expansion packs you can buy a fish tank in I think decorative and then misc. If you have unleashed, you need to go to a pet shop or dog and cat adoption center by calling the Old Town cab. If you have Livin' Large, you can buy a hamster under Misc.
