For a sim to age it takes
Baby- 2-3 days(I think it is two but not sure)
Toddler- 4 days
Child- 7 days
Teen- 15 days
Adult- 29 days
If pregnant- 3 days
Elder- depends on your aspiration score and mood, but anywhere between 8 and 32 days I believe.

You know when they are going to age, because a pop-up appears and says your person(name) is going to age in two days, and then it will tell you that it is going to age in one day, and it says it's time to plan a party, but you don't have to. Also, when you are clicked on a sim, it shows you a little chart, and if you hover your mouse over the age your sim is, then it will tell you how long it has left until the next life stage. OK? Hope I have helped, good luck simming.
