i installed the sims deluxe then the sims superstar and when i wanted to play it i would have to install it again and the same thing happened everytime i wanted to play it. did i need to install something else before the sims superstar?

Um, why?
Put the Superstar CD in and click Play.
Or failing that, go through the Start Menu.
