no, but the chances seem to be lower of a sim getting hurt in the fire on sims2. Just be sure to get a fire alarm, and besure when placing the items that your (moveobjects on) cheat is at (moveobjects off). They can work funny if they were placed in areas were they shouldn't have been otherwise.
