Knowledge - Question
My computer crashes when I'm playing with my sims. I locks up on movies and when I little blue light comes up over their head and some other times (unknown). I have a Radeon9000 and I was wondering if I needed a higher card maybe. Any help?

If you are leaving the game paused for long periods of time, or leaving it paused all night, it could damage the computer and the memory... Also, if you are hitting "alt, tab" and doing something else in the background, the memory goes "ok, well... i need this much memory... ok you're not using it, so I will" so then when you open your game back up it's like "where's my memory"... and it writes over itself... try not to have anything else running except for your game...

Mellissa's post is wrong on several levels.
Pausing the game all night will not damage the computer or the memory.
ALT+Tab has never been supported for applications like Sims2 that use the full screen because they're not designed to be ALT+Tabbed in and out of.
As for "writing over itself" - believe you me, if it was doing that you'd know about it
