Can you not change the wardrobe of an existing Sim? I had her buy some new sleep clothes at the store but when its time for bed she still wears the old stuff. What happened to the items I purchased?

you have to go to the wardrobe, and then click on it, you get two options "change into" and "Plan outfit"
click "plan outfit" and then "PJ's" you can see the PJ's you purchased there. and the same for any other clothes you buy.
