The game takes about one hour to load, and once it starts up, it takes approx. 1 1/2 hours to load each family... any ways to speed it up? I tried lower quality and details, but no luck.

How much memory do you have? I know I tried to run it on my laptop with the same problem. Do any of your other programs run slowly? Also, is your memory being plugged up with spyware (it does take up a lot of room)? Or is there a possibility you have a worm that is eating up your memory. Just several possibilites. These are the ones I've run into.
