I want to copy original maxis lots/homes to a folder on my computer....where are they and how do I work with package files using WINRAR or WINZIP

the original lots etc are located in the template folder look in C/program files/maxis/the sims/

should be a folder called template something or other


as far as packages using in zip or win rar depends on hat you wish to do Are you unzipping or do you mean to zip a file?
if you want to zip what Operating system are you running?
if you have XP just right click and click for it to compress into a win zip file or win rar file (you have to have Win rar installed i think )
win zip is already there I believe or one similar
