i just instaled the sims 2 a thing came upand it said that i needed directx9.0c compatible graphics adapters where can i get it so i can play it

Looks to me that your Graphic card is not
directx9.0c compatible!
Check your system to be sure!
Go to start, klick run!
Type: dxdiag, and check system and dxfiles!

Mine is doing the exact same thing but my system says my direct X 9.0 is fine. I just need to know where to download a Direct x 9.0c graphics adapter.

You don't, it is your graphics card that is the problem.
DirectX 9 and a directX9 adaptor (your card) are two separate things.
