Can you put your own Sims in a community lot (i.e., if I wanted a user-created Sim to run a shop)?

Soooooo...that implies that there's an unofficial way to have a user-created Sim do something like that. Do you mean other than making gnomes all day and selling them in Buy Mode? You've piqued my curiosity.

What I meant was you can't move there like you can with Magic Town.

However if you were to find and seek out third party objects that replenish energy while on a community lot (and hacked beds and sort of thing) then you could have a makeshift solution although it's not permanent and won't save across game sessions.

As for running a shop - I don't believe that's possible short of the work from home solutions such as painting, gnome selling and what not.
