I can't get the Lot Size cheat code to work in MM

If you mean the map edit cheat...

CTRL+SHIFT+C

type "map_edit on" to turn it on and "map_edit off" to, um, turn it off.

With this cheat one can expand the size of the lots that you can build on when not in move_objects on mode. If you use move_objects a lot, then little point really in extending the lots because move_objects ignores the boundaries (bar the outer ones) anyway.
