Hi
I had this problem the past two day i read every fix there was and tried most of them.
I then posted to a board that i go to and one of the tech helpers there recommended that if i had another rom drive or DVD drive try running and installing using it
i had a CD writer on the computer and decided what the heck and guess what It installed PERFFECTLY!
and even went on faster then it did on the Dell i have which is 6 months old and has a faster processor LOL
So If you have this problem and you happen to have a CD writer or a DVD driver try it using that.

Worth a try and for me It Worked great took a little less then 2 hours and when I installed on the dell it took me 4 hours almost 5 to get the deluxe and all expansions on.

Hope this helps someone
April
