What is SimCity? Is it just the same with "The Sims" and its expansion packs or much different?

Sim City is COMPLETELY different.. it's not an expansion pack or anything like that, it's a separate game where you can make the city and try to keep it up... you can win awards for how long you keep it nice, to the expectations that are set (or something like that). Thge awards, I think, come by like 5 years, 15 years.... etc.. I haven't played the game in atleast 5 years so I may not be all the way correct with the details of the game. Does this help you at all?

And SimCity came first, well before The Sims was a twinkle in Will Wright's eye.

All The Sims is is a sideway adaption of stuff like Theme Park, Theme Hospital and SimCity. They're all based around the same premise with different stuff.

SimCity is just houses and buildings; you just play the mayor and the town planner. There are "people" as such but you don't actually control them.

I don't know is the answer to that, if its anything like the original Theme Park was then probably not.

I think it's suppossed to be like the game DinoPark Tycoon (if anyone's ever heard of that game).. you build the park and try to get people to visit.. change prices, add rides and stuff, etc.... like the mayor of the park..
