the mirror is for changing your make-up and accesories and the dressor is to change your clothes but I'm not sure about the hair.

Mirrors are for changing makeup, hair, and glasses. Dressers are for changing clothes. Your Sim will have a set of "normal clothes" and then be able to change that when they want. When they grow to a new lifestage, their "normal clothes" will be picked at random. You can then change them by buying new clothes.

yes, you can go to the community to buy new clothes. sims are also given an automatic new set of clothes when they change age groups i.e. teen - adult
