Building & Demolition
Irregular Rooms

Until now, we've only been able to create orthogonal (rectangular & square) rooms. If we have wanted to create diagonal rooms or octagonal rooms or any other sided room, we would have to do it wall-by-wall. Now, in the walls menu, you can create diagonal and octagonal rooms. This should save time in lot creations for those who like their rooms to have variety. As for those who prefer irregular polygonal rooms, you are still left to have to do them wall by wall.

Up On The Roof

Octagonal, circular and domed roofs were part of the "Open For Business" expansion. With this expansion, there are roofs in all of the default styles to place on diagonal rooms. This does not work very well on generally orthogonal houses that have one sloped corner, but rooms at 45 degrees now have better and more realistic looking roofing options.

Bringing The House Down

You have flattened the lot, you have built a diagonal room, put a diagonal roof on it and rotated the flooring all with the help of the new architectural tools. Well, now you can bring things down very easily with the new "Sledgehammer" tool.

Assuming you have a decorated wall section with windows and pictures, to paraphrase Mr. Barry Scott, "BANG and the lot is gone". One click on that wall with the Sledgehammer selected and the wall, windows and/or pictures is removed, vanishing without a trace.
